Pete's original club was Symmonds Green Judo Club in Stevenage, moving to Dorset at age 13 he trained at Wessex Judo club, the Kaigan Judo club, and started helping to run classes at Bondi Judo club when he was 16. After starting a separate Judo class based in Bournemouth to encourage more players to Bondi it's popularity grew to such a degree, that Nokemono Judokwai was born.

Pete achieved high grades and skills in competition throughout his time as a competitor, he has won and is still winning numerous awards, medals and trophies in England and Europe. He became an instructor to hand down his knowledge to others.
