Child Welfare
![]() |
Hi, I’m Lisa Shakespeare and I am the club’s Welfare Officer (CWO). My husband, Dougal, has been a key member of Nokémono Judokwai since it was founded in 2006, and I became involved with the club council when the meetings started being held at my house! I jumped at the chance to be more involved with nokémono and becoming the CWO has given me the perfect opportunity to do more for nokémono. I am here should you have a worry, concern or problem with anyone in or outside of the club. You can email me via the link below: I am also an Ofsted Registered childminder and can use my knowledge and experience to aid my role within nokémono judokwai. Below is our Child Protection policy which can also be found with other useful documents under the policy documents section

Worried about something?
Don't keep it to yourself
There is someone you can turn to. You could speak to an adult you know and trust such as a parent, a teacher, the club welfare officer at nokémono Judo, a school counsellor, a doctor or a school nurse.
If there isn't someone you feel you can talk to, you can contact childline on 0800 1111. It's a free and private helpline for children and young people who need someone to speak to.
It's private because you don't need to tell them who you are if you don't want to and the childline number will not show up on the phonebill.
The Child Welfare Officer at nokémono judokwai is called Lisa Shakespeare
Her telephone number is 07833 477008
